He received awards from the British Council, the Times Higher and the University of Westminster for his work in the use of ICT in education. He is especially known for his work in using technology to enhance feedback and his experiments with screen capture technology. He was a Principal Educational Technologist at the University of Warwick and the University of Westminster. |

Ismail Hakki Erten is a professor at Hacettepe University. He worked as a visiting professor at Exeter Univetsity where he initially received his PhD. His research interests are learning strategies, teacher education.

Esim Gürsoy is a professor in the ELT Department of Uludağ University, Turkey. Dr. Gürsoy holds a bachelor's degree in ELT from Uludağ University, Turkey; a maste's of education degree in Teacher Education from Ohio University, USA, and a doctoral degree in ELT from Anadolu University, Turkey. She offers courses on teaching English to young learners at the graduate and undergraduate level. Some of Dr. Gürsoy’s professional interests include foreign language teaching to young learners, language teacher education, teaching practice, and integration of SRT topics, such as environmental education, foreign language teaching and teacher education. She is currently working with 8000 in-service teachers affilliated with the Ministery of National Education to improve practicum courses in Turkey.
Donald Staub is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the School of Foreign Languages at Izmir University of Economics in Izmir, Turkey. He also served for four years as the coordinator of the Quality Assurance Unit within the School of Foreign Languages at Isik University (Istanbul), where he served as the chair for the SFL’s two accreditation applications. Donald has a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University (EMU), and an MA (TESOL) and BA (Literature) from Michigan State University. Dr. Staub is a trained and experienced reviewer for the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), as well as a board member of DEDAK, the Turkish language program accrediting body. He also has significant accreditation experience with institutions in the U.S. that have been accredited by NCA, SACS, and CAEP. His primary research interests lie in EFL quality assurance, student retention, and delivery of English medium instruction, with recent book chapters on quality assurance in EFL programs as well as quality assurance in ESP programs. His edited volume Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Foreign Language Education (Springer) was published in 2019.
